I submitted my full application on June 13th and I got the file no on June 19th.I never mentioned IELTs in my application and send the written submission for English proficiency. Now after reading so many posts about IELtS gave my Iexam and scored 16 marks. Can I send the result now?But the only problem is that I have to send the original marksheet oF IELTS and it might get misplaced.Should I send it now or wait for an update and then reapply if get rejected.

If you have claimed english proficiecy and you have evidence to prove it, for example you may be a native of any english speaking country or you have completed all your study in english medium then probably you do not need to take IELTS test. But since you have already given IELTS and scored maximum numbers you will be fine. I think you should wait for CIC to contact you and provide proof your english proficiency.

For your information, even if your original IELTS mark sheet gets lost you can still get a duplicate but authenticated copy from the exam authority by paying a nominal fee.

By the way, where are you from?

I'm from India and right now working in US.After seeing the posts seen on this forum,I think they would not ask for IELTS and they will either process my application or reject it if they are not convinced with my English proficiency submission. But will they still consider my application if I send my result now?

Hi, your IELTS will not get misplaced if you include your file number in the cover letter.

IELTS result must not older than 1 year for immigration purpose, but my brother in law working in US and got his bachelor and master from US, he used his IELTS TRF 3 years older and CHC Buffalo got accepted. Its all depend on their mood either they may asked for IELTS or may exempt.

Regards

In this forum there are 2 types of people I have seen.

1. People sending IELTS results when they get it (Along with file# details)

2. Peple waiting for CIC to ask for IELTS results and then send.

I guess in the 2nd option will set you back by a month in processing ..

option 2 is for old track applications.

under the new fast track system . they don't ask for IELTS. they award you points based on their discretion and then approve or reject the application.
