Can I apply for LMIA when my visitor visa extension is pending?

Hi,

I applied for visitor visa extension on May 27, 2019 and waiting for the same to be approved. I want to apply for LMIA now. Can anyone please tell me if I need to wait until my visa approval or I can apply right now?

You don't apply for an LMIA. The employer who wants to hire you applies for the LMIA.

Or do you mean you want to apply for a work permit and your LMIA is already approved.

No. I’m waiting for visa extension. I came as a visitor in December and now will apply for LMI.

Do not believe there are any published statistics so just have to apply and hope for the best same as an initial TRV given every application is different so stats are not really useful
