Hi everyone,

I applied for FSW under the PHD stream but was refused some time ago. Now I'm considering applying again, but some documents are missing. Is there a way I can request CIC to return my documents submitted last time?

Thanks.

What kind of documents? CIC clearly says that the documents that are submitted are not returned. If you provided original document that you need to submit again (eg. IELTS report) then you can write a letter to CIC when you send your new application and mention that the requested document is already with them along with your previous UCI or file number. In any case, you should have copies of those documents that you can send as proof.

My notarized translation of birth certificate, and some other supporting documents. I did not make a copy of these before submitting them...Now i prepared them again any ways.

If it's not original documents, then you can easily prepare them again, easier than asking CIC to send them back.

CIC does NOT require original educational documents or the marriage document. Only copies are requested. They have explicitly mentioned not to send originals unless otherwise noted.

What checklist are you talking about?

Edit: I just noticed you applied through family sponsorship. I am not aware of the requirements for that stream. Your query is best asked in the relevant forum for your category.
