Can an appalicant cancel PR and request refund after getting BOWP - but remain as worker until end of Bowp?

applicant received BOWP, had applied for PR via EE, has now changed mind about PR, can they now withdraw PR and ask for refiund? and remain on Working status until end of Bowp?

I believe BoWP is dependent on PR. If you cancel PR, BoWP would also get canceled.

Yes BOWP approval is contingent on submission of PR, - it can continue to be valid however even if PR application is later rejected, I have come across this many times previously, and applicant's confirmed with IRCC that work permit remains valid to it's expiry regardless of outcome of PR. However in these cases, applicants were intending to resubmit the rejected PR and did so soon after. IN this case, the applicant has decided to rescind her PR application, but has already received the BOWP, so theoretically the same would apply? and the BOWP should remain valid?
