Calling CIC/NDVO to know application status

Has anybody tried calling IRCC or New Delhi VO to get update on what is going on with the profile?
I had applied for gcms notes but have not yet received that.
Can I call CIC or NDVO to know the status of my application
Will they tell if my Work exp spcly NOC criteria is met ?

NDVO strictly provides no info over call. You will need to e-mail them. Unlikely that you'll get confirmation on NOC match over e-mail. You can try calling CIC, they will not get into specifics but may provide info on overall application progress and guide you on next steps (depends on the agent) if processing time has crossed 6 months.

From what others reported when they called IRCC, it depends a lot on the person you end up with. Some seemed to be helpful and willing to give some information about applications and others not.

There is no harm in trying and since you shoudl receive your gcms notes in the coming weeks as well, i hope that will clear up your questiosn on how far your application is in the different processing stages.
