I see you have Cairo as VO. Did you know if your file was transfered to Cairo or Ottawa?

it doesn't say any where about Cairo or Ottawa , how do i find out ? , how di i contact them from Egypt ( i can call them , no problem ) but i'm still in the normal processing times , do i have the availability to call and just know where is my file ? , how , just need a number

The sponsor approval letter that I received says (what means) "file was transfered to Cairo"
I contacted CIC here in Canada. They told me your file was transfered to Ottawa.

Therefore, if it says Cairo it could be in Ottawa. However, if it says Ottawa then it is in Ottawa.

i still insist . in Egypt the military service is the same like being jail !!!

ok its up to but when you will join or see how is the other army i mean the military service in those countries who have military service you will say im right
and military service im soldier but in jail there is prisoner with no any kind of dignity with all respect to the innocent people or whose their bad luck sent them to jail as the people owe money so they can feed themselves and family and help their kids for marriage or any kind great goal

the majority of cases of cairo visa office that has been sent to ottawa after received from Canada i think when they transfer to Ottawa they the AOR TO the applicant but some case they dont sent but later as soon as u call or contact cic they will tell u where is ur file

I had the same question too coz I wanted to know where the file goes excatly? so I emailed ottawa pilot but it took like a week or maybe more to reply me back. then I received an email yesterday stating that" due to security reason's ur husband file is being transferred to Ottawa for processing any further information or updates should go directly to this office" & there's no timeline for processing there
so I think all the files go there even if the approval letter says it's in cairo

From CIC agent I was told simple cases go to Ottawa and sent to Cairo at the final stage.
I read an article few months ago in CIC news about Ottawa pilot will soon close its door for Cairo cases once the situation is stable! When and if it has already happened I am not sure...

No...Each step starts automatically if they need anything they will contact you...They sometimes send AOR and sometimes they do not.

I do not think Cairo office will respond.
In regard to the 800 numbers are working but they cannot be dialed from outside Canada.
