I sent an e-mail to my MP this morning. I got a reply that they have contacted Cairo already on my behalf. So now waiting to see what the outcome of that will be.

I was about to have a nervous breakdown coz of their stupid waiting games.. especially when i come that close to be wz my husband:-( ... could u tell me how can i look for Mp ..i live in mississauga maybe he could move them to do the least in our file.. i was thinking to call a lawyer but i'm pretty sure he won't do anything coz the decision has been made on our file .. don't know what r they waiting for to tell us their decision

I sent it to the MP's e-mail, but also included the Minister of Immigration e-mail which is: minister@ cic.gc.ca (no spaces) I think it did the trick. The MP e-mailed me just after 9 am that they had contacted Cairo and would contact me once they got a reply.

Wow, already you're further along than I am! I got an email on Thursday from my MP's office asking for more details and haven't heard anything since. Please keep us posted - at least we can live vicariously through you

I've just sent them an email now but I hadn't include my husbands file number.
I'm really worried from what about to happen next days in egypt.. all streets will be blocked
it's so frustrating :-[

I would send another one and at the bottom just let them know you sent two due to forgetting to include the file number. I am sure they will understand, they are human too!

I hope you hear back soon. I put all the information they would need in my initial e-mail, as well as sent a copy of the GCMS notes. I guess it might have been over kill. However, I told them that full disclosure of our information was only to assist them in assisting us. It also showed that the stuff has been printed dang near a month and they have yet to send it.

Well, the first two attempts to contact my MP were by phone (left two voice mails). When I didn't hear back, I went in person and they had me fill out a form, and I spent a half hour explaining our situation and what I hoped they could do for us. Two days later I got an email asking for many of the same details I already provided on the form and some new ones. That was Thursday.

I've just sent another email asking for a status so hopefully tomorrow there will be some news.
