As the wait is not yet over and the search for answers continues, I would like to ask:

1- Any ideas how many applications under the new rules have been finalized and approved in Buffalo office? Please do not advise to see trackit, as I would like to know the answer from applicants in this form.

2-What is the maximum time after the medical for an application to be finalized under the new rules? I can not see any clear info in this regard in the cic website.

Thanks

Hi maple,

Unfortunatly, we Buffalo applicants are waiting to the applications belong to the last year to move one step forward, when other visa offices are giving visas for April, May.....2009 applicants !!

I really have no idea what is going on in Buffalo ! they are making a new backlog at their office by delaying the FSW applications and giving priorities for CEC and other categories.

I think in the new statistics, Buffalo visa office will not show that much on the number of FSW visas issued under the new rules.

That is a shame!
However, looking at the cic website, I understand that they do not count the period between Feb 2008 and Nov 2008 (till the release of the list). The applications were frozen till the end of Nov 2008 because they started processing our applications after the release of the instructions. Thus, we do not count all those months prior to Dec 2008 as our applications were waiting for the release of the list to see if they are eligible for processing or not. It sure is unlucky that we submitted our applications between Feb-and Nov where nothing was really taking place in the immigration offices.
That is what I read when I look t this:
