A 3rd line was added in my e-Cas today.
"Medicals were received."
I did the e-Medicals on 12/7/13. Per doctor's office, they sent the results on 12/11. The 3rd line was added today.
What do I expect from this update?

Bahar jan don't worry too much...at least your case is much better than mine. I applied on May 2010 and did the medical and paid RPRF in 2012 and still waiting. Regarding the 3rd party, I think they're doing the background-check which might take longer than usual because of the nationality.
It'll come eventually

I can't believe what you have been through. I am an August 2010 candidate, and just like you I am waiting. I think it has to do with our country of origin. I certainly hope you receive your visa right away, this procedure is very unfair. How do you know they extended your medicals by a year, did they write to you and tell you? Have you lived in many different countries, been in the military, and/or have a wife and children? I am asking because I will probably be just like you

Hello,

Looks like many applications in this forum have been reviewed by case analyst DB00204. This is my experience.
I was asked for updated documents on Dec 11th by case analyst DB00204.
I emailed the requested docs to CPP-Ottawa with the case analyst ID in the subject box and asked him/her if it would be fine to email the docs. I have not received a reply back yet. I also mailed the documents to CPP-Ottawa on Dec 13 to be on the safe side.
From what I have read in this forum it looks like the case analyst is not necessarily the same through the whole process and will change in each step. For MR and RPRF I received emails with no case analyst ID but for Doc request DB00204 was the case analyst. I will update once I get anything from DB00204.

hi i shinbukhan i also got the same case analyst , i am so worrying except this case analyst all other case analysts are super fast, everybody under this case analyst are getting 2-3 times extra doc requests, hmmm hopefully we will touch our goal asap , thats what we can pray our almighty , but please guys those who got case analyst DB000204 please share your info asap please thanks buddies

Guys, my case analyst says that my file is not with him/her anymore and it is with third party for security check, s/he keeps saying this from 2 months ago. Dose anybody have any idea about this" third party" ? any experience with it? who is it? how long dose security check takes? I am getting crazy, 5 months ago I did my medicals and still waiting......

I received the same email from VO in Mexico. My file was transferred from Ottawa to Mexico in April 2013. its been 5 months i did my medicals with updated Doc Request. VO said same-thing as you. I talked to my lawyer and she said it might take 2 months to get this thing done. But I am not sure when did they started my Background Check. Also what does your ECAS says?
i have four lines in my ECAS now. My fourth line says : "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 24, 2013."
now i don't know what that means.

This means they start finalizing your application (now a days, medicals and other clearances except security, are not under processing). So you will get PPR very soon.

I have the same case analyst. Probably s/he has a large caseload and also has cases from developing countries so requires more scrutiny...well this is just my speculation.

Dear all,

I have a small question. I have been asked to send some updated documents among which one of the required document is passport and they have mentioned like this

"Updated clear PHOTOCOPY or SCANNED COPY of a valid passport for both yourself and your spouse with a validity date longer than 6 months"

Does this mean we have to submit all the pages of passport or the first and last page?
