I sent updated documents on 12th june, but it was 14mb. I emailed them on june 17 to ask whether they received the documents? but cic replied on june 21st that they didn't received it as they can receive email only upto 5mb.

I resent the reduced size pdfs on june 22 & again poked on june 25th, for which they replied on june 27th, that the documents were received successfully.

Then I got MR on july 15th. Hope this helps.

Satya_lucky: why did your lawyer send the documents requested by post? In the email I received, they were specific about sending the documents by email. Probably you should scan and send those documents yourself. To be honest hiring a lawyer to assist with PR application does not make a difference unless there are immigration issues that you want the lawyer to assist you with; otherwise I think it is just a waste of money and sometimes they may only prolong the process for you as they are serving so many people they may fail to send documents promptly.

Coz when my file transfer from buffalo to Ottawa , every one got who transferred to New York or Detroit got easily ppr
Now my file transferred to New York everyone in Ottawa getting ppr

Any update on your file. I am keep sending inquiries to New York,total count is 9 now, but no reply. Any idea why they are not replying, my guess says,..they are busy with student visas or may be because of strike or may be our file are waiting in queue or God knows only.....

I understand your predicament. If it is your job that hired him, I guess there may not be much you can do. I assume his contact is what is on your forms which means they will normally respond to him and not you? You can ask the lawyer to at least check with CIC whether the documents have been received. Alternatively, you may want to wait for a couple more weeks and see what happens. Wish you all the best.

Guys, today i got request for original police certificate from my home country. I got my police certificate in May 2013 and submitted for CEC file. Now, I have its photocopy. Would that work?? If I want to get another certificate from my country before the period of 6 months, I need to report FIR and all that which is a long process!! Also, my original certifcate is already with them, so should I send photocopy and explain them the whole situation? Please advice guys. Thanks
