I'm sure you will hear something soon on that CEC application!!!

I will be applying under CEC in January and if I still don't hear anything after a few months I am considering Australia or New Zealand!!! I am tired of Canadian immigration!!! Wasting too much energy!!!
I suggest be patience. I know its hard. ppl hv waited 3,4 years...some get in 8 months..
not sure hw it works.. same timeline as mine many of my frnds had received stamping itself..
my last 2 years i was waiting something to happend and couldnt take any decision based on this....

if you have good opurtunity and got info about Australia or New Zealand immigration is faster?..then you could give a try we only have to hope on the painful wait for canada...

I my case it is well over 2 years. I would say around 29 months. It is what it is ,we can not do anything about it.Just an idea, why not post something which can make people laugh or give them some comfort while waiting for this imigratiojn process.

I really enjoyed one post in which guy mentioned that he will be retired when visa office will call him for an interview, then they reject him and tell him to try other options for immigration ,that was hillarious.

Why don't you guys apply under the Canadian Experience Class from what I have been hearing this is the fastest in terms of processing time.

Check on the trackkit website.

I can't understand why people with 2 years or more work experience don't apply under that class.

It will still be processed faster than your current application.
Cause some of us like me... didn't try to get a job... for an example, I started an online company... it was really hard... took me 2 years to do it.... but I'm really happy with my choice... The economy isn't that reliable in Canada... but no worries for me regarding job and money anymore... I can do this anywhere, anytime... right now, they can kiss my a$$ :-* , I can happily take my laptop and go to another country and have a good life.

Hi,

just got my GCMS notes via Email exactly after 30 days, MR is not yet started and got to know my secondary VO is Detroit.
Well, I'm confused with a paragraph called:

Application Assignment
Assigned To: XXXX
Assigned By: XXXX
Due Date: 2013/01/31

what does that mean by Due date? Anyone have any idea? is it BF'D or something else?

Thanks,
Nadeem

It's same as BF'D - It simply means your file will be looked at again by the assigned VO on or before 2013/01/31. For the fact that your file has been assigned and you have a reasonable due date is great. If I were you I would go have some nice hot soup in front of a very good movie ( It's getting cold where I am BTW).
It's interesting to know they now also assign secondary VO. Guess Detroit will likely issue your PPR /PR in that case.

Hi
I am new on this forum (I was a silent observer for almost 2 years).
I applied on June 25, 2010 to Buffalo, and got transferred to Ottawa 2012/07/07.
I did Medicals on May 3th 2012, and till that time I have been waiting for PPR.
I just got my GCMS notes yesterday and I got mad. I do not see my husband Medicals, but there is My result and 2 kids with status: passed ???
The Due Date: 2012/07/25

Hi Kwolan
Who is the primary applicant? and who applied for GCMS.
I guess you applied for GCMS notes. if you have not included consent form with the GCMS form they won't send your husbands details

if you have included your husbands consent form you may want to contact CIC immediately about the results sending the medical receipt again..

regards
Syed

you have to work 2 years in Canada + 14 to 18 month for CEC = 24+14 = 38 months in the best case

as FSW2 let's say you applied 6 months after you arrive, we used to see 25 months processing time (in Buffalo) in the past 25 + 6 = 31 months to get your PR in the best case

so the time is quite the same.

Only good thing with CEC, is that if you lose your job, the process is still running.

Hi Syed
I am the primary applicant. I gave consent to my aunt leaving in Canada to apply for GCMS notes. I didn’t think I need to attach my husband consent too.
His medical info is just empty, but in my online status there is a note: Medical results have been received.
