also my CIC has 4 lines as below.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 27, 2011.

2. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 23, 2011

3. Medical results have been received.

4. Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 24, 2013.

now what hell this 4th line means? did they never opened my file?

don't worry about ecas it is not really useful, don't let it give you headaches

During the mid November it looked like it was taking a week to issue visa after Ottawa was receiving the passports. Anyone got their passport back from Ottawa after sending them on the last week of November?
They received my passport on November 26th and I am still waiting to see the Canada post Xpress tracker running for the tracking number of my return envelope.

They received my passport on Nov 29, 2013. I sent an email to my VO to ask how long it will take. He/she replied my within 2 hours....my passport is in printing section.... he/she will get back to me once he/she got answer from printing section.

What do you mean by "I sent an email to my VO"? have you got your case officer's email address? Or it is the usual Ottpilot-immigration at cic.gc.ca?

I sent to the gerneral email address but write"Attention to XXXX" on the subject line

Hi everyone,
I resent my son's documents for adding him to my application.
Obviously they didn't get it the one I sent 5 weeks ago. It is always
Better to doble check.
I also sent prpf and Medicals, which I get from doctors office.
The doc created a UMI # for my son.
Will see what happens.
