I also asked the question if someone could post the work permit to my husband and they said it may get confiscated at customs as it's a legal document and you should be in posession of it at all times. So if you do have it sent via courier then it's at your own risk.

BOWP received today by mail, paper application submitted to the new employer office 11/14. BOWP was issued 1/20.

Did u submitted paper application on 14 November , when was it received by them, and did the WP just came to ur address , when was it received and what was date on that ?

Hmmm you right, I may ask someone to carry it personally, Or I may enter with my current work permit with all the payment reciepts and then collect it personally from the mail box

December 19 application was approved today, you should probably expect something early next week.

Congrats folks... well I am still waiting for mine. My application was received on 6th Nov new employer. Neither AOR nor BOWP so far no idea what to do n where to inquire? Post Can shouldn't take so long to do the delivery in same province AB...

I applied for BOWP/SOWP on 16-Dec-2015 online, now seriously concerned as I see people who have applied after me have gotten theirs approved. I received several messages via email stating that "Your application has been UPDATED"

But when I logon to CIC there is nothing! No updates or messages. The application online says: OPEN and not started. :-[

Any thoughts anyone?

My application was the same way - I'd receive emails saying that the application was updated but when I logged in, nothing was updated.

However, as it turns out, it means an officer was looking at the application and probably just the type of person that does not bother to change the status. You should receive an email about a new message in your MyCIC account soon and your status will be updated for real then.

same here... it turned out at one of these times when I got an email that the application was updated, it was actually approved, but the officer didn't change the status online because it wasn't sent out at that time.I figured this out because I called help centre and he actually gave the real date it was approved which was 10 days before the date I had on my work permit and it was the same date I got that email at!

Hi guys,

I am applying for Bridge open work permit. I have 2 form to fill IMM 5710E for my self and IMM 5710E for my wife. There is a signature column for both these forms. Do i need to take print out & take the signature of my wife and myself, scan and upload them for online application ?. what is that i need to do for signing the forms in IMM 5710 E especially for my wife. Guys please suggest me especially who has applied with their spouse application.
