Birth Certificate in local language (Punjabi)?

Hey all,

I have a problem, I had my parents send me the Birth Certificate only to find out that the Birth Certificate is in local language (Punjabi).. The Birth Certificate itself is in English however the information (my information like name, address etc...) is written by hand in Punjabi language...

What do I do now?

Hi,

I think you need to follow the process where it need to be translated in English, along with True translation copy stamped by Notary and affidavit from the person who has translated for you.

Notary and affidavit from any lawyer is fine or do I need some special lawyer for it?

2 step process
1. get it Translate it in English from some one usually they put their stamp on it too
2. Get copy notarized as the true copy from a lawyer ( he will charge some thing 10-20$)
