Best city to live in Canada???

I am moving to Canada next year and my main concern is in which city to live. If anyone can make comparisons between the cities. PS if any 1 can give details on the weather ?? where is the best or warmest thanks.

I just want to stress on the fact that immigration is not a "walk in the park", its a tough struggle at the beginning :'(...so the best city would be the one that offers you a decent job...in my opinion - a "newcomer" can be happy almost anywhere in canada as long as he has access to meaningful employment and earns well.

Many people think Vancouver is the best (in terms of weather, beauty, quality of life...etc), but it has its disadvantages as well - as the living costs are very high and the job market is much smaller than Toronto. Since you are a newcomer, i think you should first research online to find out which city/province has the most available jobs in your professional field - and choose accordingly. Once you become well established, you can then think of moving to other cities which you might find more attractive.

That's good advice. The best city to live is where you can find a job. When you are a newcomer to Canada, if you don't have the type of skills that mean that any employer will immediately scoop you up, it means you will have to work at building your Canadian experience and that often means starting out in a place where you may not like the weather very much but are able to find a decent job. Therefore, look for jobs first, location second.

You can easily survive the cold as you will not be spending much time outside during winter.

I really like Calgary! It's right by the mountains where we seek to escape the stress snowboarding and skiing in winter, it was decent weather and mostly sunny.. Harsh winters though.

Vancouver is very good city to live in but as compared to TORONTO it has less opportunities for newcomers,so i prefer TORONTO for all newcomers/immigrants.
