do not forget there are additional documents required for lebanon residence. there are a few extra forms to fill out if you live in lebanon.

Im living in Quebec, my wife is in Lebanon and i'm sponsoring her.
Can you please name the extra forms so I can cross check them with mine and make sure I did not forget anything?
As far as I know there is the civil status document and family book, photocopy of the first 6 pages of her passport and a police clearance. I did not see any extra forms anywhere.

Hi. Here are my stats:
Application received in Mississauga: Dec 28th 2011
Application forwarded to Beirut: Feb 14th 2012 (application went directly to Beirut as the embassy in Damascus was closed)
RQ, Schedule 1, new police certificate, updated passport request: Mid october 2012, submitted to embassy drop-box on October 30th
E-CAS: in February it said: Application received/ med results received
Status changed to "in-process" in Nov 2012 (started processing on Nov 7th 2012)

Hi Red123, it seems like we have a somewhat similar timeline.... My application was received in Mississauga in Nov 2011 and started processing Nov 2012... and we are still waiting. In October 2012 my spouse had to do second medical and submit residency questionnaire and police service details. I'm wondering if the fact that he's in security forces in Lebanon its taking this long??? I was living in Lebanon this whole time and just moved back to Canada recently.

I've emailed the embassy a couple of times and the reply is always that they're working on the security check!

Any updates on your end with your file??

Nothing new with my file. And everytime I email them they say they are waiting for security results. I thinks that's just a generic response.
The thing that's frustrating is that there are some many people I know that got their visas in 5-6months. They all applied AFTER us. It's really annoying.

I got decision made on my spouse sponsorship application March 2013. The permanent Resident application is still showing as "Application Received". 2 months ago I got a new line "Medical Results have been received". I know there is some strike action going on all over the world. Do you know how is the situation in Beirut regarding processing spouse applications? I check my ecase every week and sometimes every day hoping to see a new line eventhough the processing times for Beirut is 19 months for 80% of the applications. I know no one knows but I thought someone else here would have a similar timeline to mine that can comment and that will help with the wait!

A family book is required for my spouse.
Should I provide them with the older one (the one where her name appears with her father, mother, brother...) or with the new one (Her name appears with mine) or both?
