I just got nomination from BC. I went to EE system to accept my nomination. After that, I'm able to see 600 points have been added up to my overall score. My original score was 474 pts. After adding up, it is supposed to be 1074. However, I can just see 1044 pts under the "Your Overall Score" section. Also, if I add the scores in the score breakdown list, the total score is also 1074 pts.

How come the overall score section is different.

Thanks.

Hi,

You get a maximum of 600 points for other categories:
  • CRS - Arranged Employment
  • Provincial/Territorial Nomination
  • CRS - Additional - PR or Canadian Sibling
  • CRS - Canadian education
  • CRS - Additional - French Proficiency or Bilingualism

So, if you have a Canadian education (30 points) and later you get a Provincial Nomination (600 points). So, the total for other categories becomes 630, but the maximum considered is 600 only. So effectively only 570 points get added to the overall CRS score. That's the reason you would observe 1044 total instead of 1074 in your case.
