Hi chau01

as long as you still have some funds for your settlement or just getting a Job offer, it shouldn't be a problem

good luck

Will I find it hard to get credit in Canada if I claimd bankrupcy? Would the banks in Canada be able to do checks outside Canada?

Don't you worry about it my friend, you must start from Zero credit history in Canada anyway.

But once you have already started in Canada, make sure to have a better management of your finance habits so you don’t get bankruptcy anymore

Thanks for advice. Will bankrupcy have any impact on me applying in the future for Canadian Citizenship, especially if bankrupcy took place outside of Canada?

I don't think so, not at all

(unless you were sued because of it and/or you hold a criminal record)

Getting sued shouldn't be a problem either. The disposition of civil cases should effect these types of things, unless maybe it is related to child support or something or you are in contempt of court. Just my opinion, best always to consult a qualified attorney though!
