Dear Students

How much old bank statement is required? If I opened my bank account today and put at least CAD$ 25000 and show the statement. Is this okay or I wait at least six months to show the bank statement?

For study permit a 4 months old Bank Statement is required.

Please make sure you submit B.S at least for last 4 months.

Its mean I only need to show past 4 months bank statement. But my question is still there. If I deposit CAD$ 25000 today in my account and show the statement. But I didn't use my account from the last 6 months although I opened it before 2 years.

in my view you can go ahead becuase when i submitted my application to embassy, i deposited 15000 CAD $ in my account 10 days back ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D and did not get any objection from the embassy well you can try your luck

in my case ,i deposited all of my money in my account i.e fixed deposits a day before i applied for the chc isloo.
i had ma medical n submit back the passport ....
they havnt objected nythng
n i'm waiting for the chc to stamp the visa
lol
so , there are no hard n fast rules
u have to be in right direction.......

in my case ,i deposited all of my money in my account i.e fixed deposits a day before i applied for the chc isloo.
i had ma medical n submit back the passport ....
they havnt objected nythng
n i'm waiting for the chc to stamp the visa

thanx for ur reply...i understand that u deposit all the money in ur account a day before apply. But how did u get the back six months statement??? What was entry on tht statement? I mean ur deposit and withdraw limits, etc?

thats applicable if u have a non fixed deposit account....
by fixed deposit account ,all of my money is frozen i.e i cant withdraw something out of it .
that shows all of my money is solely for educational purpose,.
i dont have to show any transactions in this case.

yes I want to open a new account if it works.

Although I hv my old current account without fixed deposit. bt if new account works after one month, i prefer to open it now.
