Hi I just landed on 29th July 2010 although I was in work permit before. I am working in IT position in one of the fast food companies. Landing process went very smoothly. Only thing the immigration officer looked for is how much money I have in bank account. I am looking for a single house in Toronto. Housing is very experience. One bed apartment costs around $900. Still looking for one bed room apartment. Right now living in basement apartment for $500.

Toronto'r house rent has gone up very high over the years.
Life has gone tougher than before. I havent landed yet. But I am watching this post to gain experience.

How did you manage the work permit, also tell us about the proof of fund, how much money u carried with and how much u showed in bank (what is the process to show bank deposit ) how did u find the housing for the first time.
