Background Investigations?

'We are currently conducting certain background investigations.' This is what Canadian Embassy replied to me upon my inquiry. What does this mean? How much more time will they take? 7 weeks is the processing time and i am currently in my 6th week.

It means embassy is doing some background check and they people will get back to you once it completes.Unfortunately nobody can tell you how long it will take so u have to keep some patience untill embassy finish the same.

We r here and complete 46 days still no ans we ve submitted application abu dhabi i emailed then on 31 dec but did get ans any one got visa today from canada embassy abu dhabi or any information regarding visa or process . I m paki my spouse applied stupy permit n m applied trv together wait for ans plz commits

Me too waiting....applied on 30th November CHC New delhi....normal processing time is 15 working days but my application still under processing.....now total 22 working days over....dont know what they r doing....

Hi dear we get email today from canada embassy abu dhabi to provided for continue process of ur application letter of acceptance origional , actually we provid them electronically letter of acceptance and date is expired on 2nd jan13 plz can anybody tell us after acceptance letter they issue study permit or any other action , plz commints
