I have applied via CEC for PR and have gotten in my documents. Initially I was waiting on my background check and sent it in as soon as i got it. I am applying from inside Canada but am fron the US.
After doing this, I received a letter requesting it again, so I uploaded it to my PR application account.
I have seen a lot of people's background check status being changed to "IN PROGRESS" but mine says "We are processing your background check". To me it means the same thing but does it give any hints as to what they are doing with my application? It has been over a month and this hasn't changed. I want to ensure that they have gotten my background check and that all is good.
I got my back ground check back in June and am worried it may expire before they reach a decision! If this is the case would they inform me?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you
