If, like me, you live in Canada, and are working with an agent for your PR application and the CIC phone system is the only way you can get updates about your application, this is for you.
I was getting tired of navigating through the menus so I scripted it all...
If you have an iPhone and call from within Canada, just use the number below:
1 (888) 242-2100,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,112,,,2,,YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER#,,,,,,1,YOUR BIRTH YEAR,,,,1,,1
Simply replace YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER and YOUR BIRTH YEAR by the corresponding values and copy paste the entire string into your keypad.
You can even save this number as a contact to find it easily later and do a 1-tap call to CIC and get through the menu.
