Authority to release personal information to a designated individual (IMM 5475)

hi everyone goodevening. please help me answer this...

on the CHECKLIST number 12 it says that : use this form if u want to authorize IRCC to give your personal info to someone who will not ct as your representative... r we going to authorize it or not?

my husband (sponsor) and i (pp) decided not to use any representative. we dont have any dependents or family member to accompany me...

my husband sponsoring me through the family class. he live in Canada and i live outside canada. I am a bit confused about forms IMM 5475 ( Authority to release Personal Information to Designated Individual) .

Its not mandatory you fill the IMM5475 form.......and the form is not to appoint a representative.

You can only use the this form if you want to allow IRCC to release your personal information to someone you choose . The person you choose will be able to get information on your case file, such as application status but cannot act as your representative who can do business for you with IRCC.

oh . so in this case i can tick not applicable if idont appoint someone.. but if i we authorize someone we need to fill up the imm 5475? right?
