Australian police clearances with Fingerprint check

Hello , As per CEC site, under topic "How to obtain a police certificate - Australia", it says :

Which Australian police clearances are acceptable?
Applicants must provide a Standard Disclosure – name check. Certificates can be obtained through the Australian Federal Police.

My question is : Do we just need Name check or does it require Fingerprint check as well ?

Just name check now, used to be fingerprint. Don't forget the Traffic History report if you lived in Queensland or Victoria

Thanks for the quick confirmation. On safe side, I did took my finger prints considering I have to submit for AU PCC.
However, I will just apply for Name check now.

I would hazard a guess that it would be quicker on line.

Just wondering if someone could help me out reference the required traffic history if the applicant was based in Queensland. From category A documents, I can submit a copy of my passport; category B - none. I didn't have a drivers license in the year that I was there, and being an on campus student, no bills / etc to boot.

Appreciate any guidance in terms of getting the statement from the department of transportation that I indeed didn't have a license.

You can give them a copy of your lease /rental agreement that confirm your name and current address.
