Appln sent to Embassy: AUGUST 28, 2012


NO INFORMATION YET COMING FROM EMBASSY

i sent my application last AUGUST 30,2012 together with my passport & up to now there is no news from them. cant help but to think, whats going on with my papers. i E-mailed them last October 18, but its electronic response same as what u ol guys posted.

When you send an email for inquiry, if they reply other thant the automated one, it is there where they will give the file number, or if you receive a letter with any requirements.

I suggest you send an email asking about the reference number of your file.

Hi Sukhbir,

Once you have the LMO, everything else is in your hands to prepare. I am not sure if we can mention a success rate, yet from many people around I heard only of 2 cases with refusals, hoping for no more to anyone.

So gather your papers and go ahead.

hi micio, i send the email on my first month, they answered "under process" but theres no file number, i inquired again 2nd time (2nd month) they asnwered same without any ref number.. i inquired 3rd time recently but no reply until now..

Also, They did not give me a file no.

My point of view that they did not give you a file number as you submited your passport with the application so no need to give you this number as it will be used in case of passport or documents request.

May be i am wrong.

i dont know ismail.. my employer called me last night because he was supposed to make a follow up online but i cant give any number, he was surprised that our CIC here doesnt give upon submission of application.

he can make the online inquiry without the file number by providing your details such as full name, passport number, telephone number, date of birth.

I got my reference number when I received their detailed response on my second email. The reference number starts with a W then followed by 9 numbers that is written on the subject line. The email is written as follows:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry.

Your application is still under process within our standard processing times.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Immigration Section / Section de l'immigration/DK
Canadian Embassy / Ambassade du Canada
Abu Dhabi

After two days from this response, I received my passport stamped with the visa and a letter attached to it with the same reference number that I got from the email.

THis is also a good idea, to inquire with your details. Usually wne they reply, the put the file reference number in the Subject field,try also to send an email requesting specifically for your reference number.
