Hi everyone!

My partner is sponsoring me to Canada through Spouse/Common-law sponsorship. We applied at the end of summer. He has just received AOR1 in his email. I haven't received anything yet. Can I use that AOR to apply for an open work permit?

Yes. And AOR "2" is not a step that all applications get.

Do NOT spam the forum and post the same simple question to multiple discussion.

If you applied in Aug, keep your dicussion here and read the rest of the discussion and see how others of the simple timeframe progress.

I got 2-letter which says Spousal and Principle applicant meet eligibility requirements individually, what next I hope for?

Your case timeline looks similar to Maria0000's.
So it's your background check now and it could take days or mmonths. Looks like IRCC inland is speedy these days. Good news.

Yeah it seems like that, I have submitted file on first week of August and within next 2 weeks they asked me to re-submit one document, once I did that I got AOR, Biometric request I got on last week of September and on first week of Oct. I got Spousal and Principle applicant letter. I wish every one get their final decision before their existing Visa deadline.
