Nov 23 GU is probably something. I don't see it on my tracker.
Let's see what it entails, no movement on tracker as of now.

Hello Guys,
No updates on my file except the following:
Date Submitted: Aug 21st 2023
AOR: 3rd October
Ghost update on 27th of October
On the AOR it says Case processing center Sydney ( Not sure if its the Visa office)

A lot of my friends who applied after me are getting faster updates, a bit concerned right now!

Anyone else in the same boat?
Yes, don't worry, there are other ppl as well waiting like you. No updates for me either after getting AOR on 12 Oct. Applied for family of 3.

Hi All, Below is my progress update

Submission date: Aug 29th
AOR: Oct 10th.
Received two GU on Oct 27th and Nov 23rd.
Haven't received any test invite yet. I live near Scarborough.
Does anyone know why this is getting so delayed
Not sure, just assumptions

First assumption is they are doing comprehensive BG check on random files.

Another assumption - We landed in 2015 through legacy immigration system (pre Express Entry era), so am assuming their new EE system is not integrated with legacy systems and has manual steps and checks which take more time than automated systems for newer immigrants.

Maybe if we share some more info we can try to understand the pattern in our cases. Did you do your landing using Express Entry ?

I really don't think this is going to contribute much to the discussion.

I think it's just a matter of which office is processing your file and file complexity based on whether you lived in other countries during your eligibility period.

I don't see why an attempt to understand common factor, if any, among applicants taking longer time than others is not a contributing factor.

Our case is straightforward, landed PR under old FSW program in 2015 with two 20-day visits back home since landing. All declared in our application.

Because the biggest determinant of whether your application is taking longer has most to do with which office is processing it.

I don't think there are any common factors.

Thank you very much - I’m hoping for some good news this week. I called them 2 weeks ago and they said they received the fingerprints already
