If this is not against the forum rules; I can offer some advice to people still waiting for the Citizenship test from experience.

First of all: read the book. You do not have to memorize it but read it. BUT if you are someone who follows a little bit of politics and knows a bit about history; you can easily pass this test. Just do the questions available online. The two resources I used were: Richmond Library and an Android App (I am sure there is an iPhone equivalent but I did not check). I did the Richmond Library link two times. The app has 500 questions (I did not buy the app, free version works well) and I think I did half of them.

Now the kicker: None of the questions you will do in the above two resources are like the CIC Citizenship exam questions. Those questions are a little different but they cover the same material. Do not stress... they are not trying to fail you. They just want to ensure that you know a thing or two about Canada.

Mods: if this post violates the rules, please delete it.
I dont think it violates anything u provided generic but still valuable suggestions. Goodwork

Hi all, I'm an August 2018 applicant. I called IRCC today as my last update was on November 28, 2018 (in process). It seems its been sitting on the shelf for many months now just waiting for a test date. The agent said there's a long list of applicants in the GTA so it will be some more time before a test date can be allotted. Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation as mine.
Thanks it does help us to understand the time frame.

Hi, i see you called them. So, do you mean CIC? Do you mind passing on the contact info and more details that I should be prepared with when i call them?

Thank you !!!
By phone. Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time, except for statutory holidays). To speak to an agent, navigate through the automated messages by pressing 3-4-1-0. Prepare to wait on hold for some time.

I was told from Officer that they will email within 2-4 months for ceremony. ( I am wondering why would take that long)

Thank you

Hi guys

One more question, can we shift our time not the date of our test? Our situation is , we are scheduled our test in Kelowna which is 2 hours away from from where I stay. I got a kid need to go to day care. Day care opens at 6.30 and our test time is at 8.30 very tight time , can we shift our time calling them , anybody has this experiences?

Congratulations, only the final stage to go now!! There seems to be a bit of a backlog for the Oath ceremonies, so 2-4 months is not a cause for concern. Wishing you all the best. Spreadsheet updated. :):):)
