DOES ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?? CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH IT PLEASE?going 14 weeks still NO AOR.. Our app was received Aug 24th.. WAS IT REGISTERED MAIL BECAUSE SIGNATURE WAS REQUIRED? sorry kinda stupid question, thanks!

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is not available in the system yet.

If it was received after August 27, 2018, rest assured that this situation is normal since the responsible office is currently processing applications received before that date.

However, if the application was received before the above date:

  • If you sent the application by regular mail:
    • please mail a photocopy of the original application (or a new application) to the address in the instruction guide, and include:
      • an explanation letter with initial mailing date,
      • photocopy of both sides of the payment receipt,
      • (if applicable) original payment receipt for restoration fees, and
      • photocopies of all the necessary supporting documents.
  • If you sent the application by registered mail:
    • please contact us again by using the IRCC Web form and include the following information:
      • type of application,
      • payment receipt (if applicable)
      • date your application was mailed or received,
      • complete address (including the postal code and the unit number) where your application was sent,
      • company used to mail the package, and
      • tracking number.

Hi All,

Line 31 - Invite to citizenship test in Niagara Falls on 11th December 2018.

Notification received 26th November 2018.

Please update.

Thanks!
Congrats!!! Looks like you are the first one to get invite for the test (among Aug applicants in the sheet) :)

Would you be ok to copy paste the invite content? ofcourse, after removing your details in it. I'm just curious to see what the content of the Test invite would be like. Do they provide an option to select an alternative date just in case someone is travelling or can't make it on the date that they give us.

Hey guys,
I got an email from the CIC today saying the below - is this the AOR? Does this mean they received it and it is complete so they are starting to process it right now?
---------------------
This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canadian Citizenship. We will review your application and supporting documents and will contact you if additional information is required. All citizenship applicants between 18 and 54 years of age on the date they sign their application must meet language and knowledge requirements to become a Canadian citizen. If this includes you, you will need to: • Demonstrate competence in basic communication in English or French. • Pass a written or if necessary, an oral test on your knowledge of Canada and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. The knowledge test is based on the information provided in the official citizenship study guide. It is 20 multiple choice questions and you must get at least 15 correct to pass. • The study guide is available on the IRCC website at: On the same page, you will find more information on how to prepare for the test. • If you are receiving this letter by regular mail, a print version of the study guide is enclosed. When your application has been reviewed and has met basic eligibility, IRCC will send you correspondence to invite you to a knowledge test. It could take a few months before you hear from us.

It notes in the body of the Email received not the test invite letter a specific GIC email to contact if you have any issues with the date, time or location of the test/interview. I dont think this would be a big deal at all.

A question for you guys, assume they dont take your PR card until the oath ceremony is complete as I am due to travel 2 days after my test/interview?

Thanks,

I called CIC today to enquire about my application which was received on 22nd August 208.

Agent said he see that my application was received with a tracking number on it. He said there is a delay in scanning of some of the applications and suggested wait until first week of January to receive an email.

Well I said, It does not make any sense because applicants whose applications were received after me are receiving AORs, and his very simple answer is 'every application is unique'

I don't know the difference from others other than no. of entries on physically stayed calculator, I had about 25 entries. :( not sure if it is causing delay.
