Interestingly - I just talked to my Lawyer who helped me to apply FSW application and she said that she included secondary school Certificate in liue of Birth Certificate!

I have not seen this in forum anywhere !!!

I forgot to mention. I had submitted my secondary school certificate as well, but the document was still sent back. CIC's requirement states that the birth certificate document should have 1) Full Name 2) Date of Birth 3) Atleast one parent's name. My secondary school certificate had 1 & 2, but not 3. My wife's certificate from another state in India had all the 3, hence an affidavit for her was not required. Hope, this information helps.

Hi did that too with an affidavit saying that the DOB mention in here is my legal DOB n I never used another DOB anywhere....n CIC accepted it...as my AOR said my application is complete....

I hope that should not be an issue

You answered my query ...My secondary certificate does have all three information and that why it worked in my FSW application.

I got AOR ,but my husband lost job .
Is it necessary to find job under A or B category although we got AOR.

Friends, below was the post on August 30, 2012, 02:14:06 pm from one of the applicants PCKUMAR.

"So I would suggest for future applicants, if you want to receive the PCC faster, apply for both Birth Certificate and PCC together from Indian consulate eventhough you already have a birth certificate. The amount($40 including $20 fees for VFS) you pay for only PCC through VFS is the same amount that you pay for both(PCC & Birth Certificate each $20) through Indian consulate. Hope this helps for people who are planning to apply for PCC in the future and wish to receive it quickly".

Did anyone else try this way?

You are absolutely right yahoo7........I applied for my PCC and birth cert.....a month b4 I applied for PR and I attached it with my application......as I didn't had a birth certificate.....I also provide an affidevit with it.....sending maximum documents saves time......

I hope CIC should not ask me more documents as my AOR says my application is complete.
Any idea when they asks for additional documents?

Dear August Applicants,

Just wanted to share. I got an email from Ottawa asking me to submit police clearance from Oman, For me and my spouse.

I have been currently residing in Oman and I had not submit one at the time of application.they have given me 60 days to do so.

I am little confused as i have got email from Ottawa, which means they are processing my file instead London(UK) which i mentioned in my application.

Nevertheless i am delighted that they are working on our files.

hopefully i will send that in 1st week of dec. and see what happens next.

Thank you for sharing your story. I actually experienced a very similar situation... I made a mistake in my application, not realizing that you could request that your application be processed by the CPP-O office which is apparently really fast, instead requesting an office in Europe which serves my country of origin. Upon realizing I had made a mistake, I e-mailed CIC to ask that my file be transferred to CPP-O. I couldn't quite understand their reply but it seemed like they had my application at the Ottawa office already. I'm not sure how they knew/decided that my application should be processed in Ottawa, but if I am interpreting everything correctly, I'm glad they did.

I chose beijing as my office. My aor did not mention which office is processing my application. It says the office i chose is dealing my case. I assume they are talking about beijing. Just don't know whether it will be slower or not compared those processed in canada.any ideas?thanks
