Hello Guys!

I have received TWP through AIPP as well as applied for PR and wanted to share my experience with you!
I have started the process some time in June, when I connected to my potential employer and spoke with them about the opportunity. Then, my employer had to fill out some documents to receive designation and was able to make a job offer for me. It took us about 2 months to get my endorsement and collect all the documents for the TWP application.

I have applied from the US and had to sent all my documents to the NYC VAC, where it took them about a month to send me my passport back with TWP. Right after that, I have applied for PR, at the end of October my Medicals were requested and I submitted them some time mid November. Right now I am waiting for the next steps.

Please, feel free to ask questions if you want. Good luck to everyone!

It's your decision to wait for TWP or apply for PR now. The only thing which will change once you have a TWP and apply for PR after is that you don't have to show proof of funds.
Either ways, you have to apply for PR within 90 days of your application being received at the CPC or Visa office regardless of awaiting or received decision.
Good luck with your TWP application and please share timelines.
Hi,
Is it possible to apply for PR under AIPP before getting the WP?

Of course! The AIPP program is focused on PR. WP is a way to get employees faster in to country to start working while waiting for PR.
You should apply for PR if you are applying from outside Canada instead of wasting time on work permit. PR applications under AIPP are being processed faster for outside Canada applicants. I just met a guy from Nigeria whose PR was processed in less than 2 months.

Thank you so much for the information. In that case, will they ask for showing the work permit or is it just fine to proceed without the WP or in case if the WP is refused? I will be applying from outside Canada.

Now, waiting IRCC file number.
Hi,
Did you apply for the temporary WP before the PR application, since you live outside Canada?

There is a fee of $1,040 ( PR Processing fee ($550) and right of permanent residence fee ($490)) associated with AIPP which i believe i am meant to pay, does the employer pay any fees in applying to be designated?

Not yet. Wbu?
Hi, if you still haven't got your so-called AOR, I would suggest you go to your CIC account and try to link your application. I think you might find it there with your application number already.

I didn't get the AOR with application number after I submitted my application in February either, but i linked my application two weeks ago, so now I can track my application in my CIC account. I dont know they never sent me an AOR!

BTW, I just got the medical request today, but i have to figure out how to find a doctor, because there is no panel physicians living close to me !

Good luck buddy!

that fee applies to any applicants under any immigration programs, not just AIPP.

No, they dont, but they need do paperwork to be designated, which is quite annoying for them, I believe.

Hi xpl, what is AOR mean? and how do you receive your medical exam form? thank you!
when they request it, the will send it in your CIC account. and you will have an email saying there is an update in your account as well. Hope you will get it soon!
