Atip, airp, caips, gcsm... Which one to use and why?

Hi guys, hope u can help me. Im trying to get the notes of the visa officer on myfile to try to keep a better track of it. (E-cas doesnt seem to be updated often). Without knowing anything about gcsm, caips, atip or airp differences r advantages i decide to go for atip. They essencially sent me back a scan copy of my file (well, my husband's sponsor file, our pictures and documnts) but they didnt sent the 'applicant' part or documents as it seems tht i forgot to sign some release or something i dont quite understand...
I wanna have my applicant package back as i got the sponsors one, just to have a copy of all that we sent. But it doesnt have any signature or comments from an officer so even tought im glad i got atip so i can have a copy of our file, my primary objetif (advance on file) is not accomplish.
My question is: what should i ask for and what are each one of them? (Atip, airp, caips, gcsm) im so confused!
I understand caips come throught a private company (not cic) any chance i can get them straight from cic?

It basically tells the story about your file ( Notes, Communication, Fees info, eligibility, assessment, security address etc ), good way to see what's happening with the file

The requester gets the GCMS notes ( it has all the info )
