On Monday I sent my passport for H1B extension restamping. I am a Canadian PR. Today I got a message from Consular office saying interview required. They have sent the passport and documents back to me. I have a few questions if anyone is able to answer.
1. Currently the dates available are in early October. I know people say that select the earliest available and keep checking for rescheduling. But after I selected I am not getting option to reschedule, only option I get is cancel.
2. I am only seeing interview dates for Ottawa. I guess it’s because I selected Ottawa while paying fees. Is there a way I fill a new ds-160 for different location and see if new dates arw available?
3. Once I receive my passport, can I reenter into the US using Automatic ReValidation(AVR) and return back for visa appointment if sooner appointments arent available? Can this have any issues in future? Has anyone done this?
