ARC request and GCMS notes-please help!

Oops! Posted before I was done.

But the one year order is now almost up. We have been to Trinidad in Novemer 2012 and April 2013. I had planned to go in either August or October but it is really hard travelling with an 18 month old! She was not very happy on our last flight back. So we are going for Christmas. We will be there just about 3 weeks. Of course I am hoping hubby will be home by that time.

Was your husband asked to submit an RCMP clearance or did you attach with your original file? I am still waiting for my husbands so hopefully I get it before they ask.

The VO will automatically send the RCMP check in themselves, you don't have to get it done. If there is a hit on his name then he will have to submit to fingerprints and they will ask you for them but if all is good then you don't even know it is done unless you read it in your notes as I did. It states in March of this year that batch was sent to RCMP and then a day later it came back with an all clear.

I wondered about the RCMP check too before i sent in my app and then on the CIC website I seen that it said if you spend more then 6 months in any country besides Canada, then you need a police certificate from that county but the Canadian police check the VO will do themselves.

yes our notes said stuff like that also for the initial assessment and then file went to another officer for review and more notes were put in on how the assessment meant then at the end it says satisfied on BF (bonafide) interview waived so even though they note those things, they may not be a concern as much as just notes to the next officer to look at those things just in case. Yes he is getting excited, LOL I don't think he ever unpacked, the minute that stamp is on his passport him and the kids are on a flight LOL We live in the southern part of Ontario in Brantford so he will be landing in TO. Where abouts are you from?

Ah ok! This brings me relief Chickie! I was thinking that was a bit crazy! I hope there are further notes made on the file this time!
We are living in Kingston, ON. I originally grew up here but lived in Toronto until after my husband left. With the cost of daycare and only limited supports, I packed up and moved here. I think we are here to stay unless hubby absolutely hates it.
LOL I think the only reason my husband unpacked was because I did it when I went to visit! How many children will be landing with him? Have they been to Canada yet? I'm sure you will be looking for winter clothes/ jackets in the next few weeks!

Ok! I didn't think we would need an RCMP clearance but then I heard people were getting request towards the end of processing and it added time to their file so I figured I will send it off just to be a step ahead of the game. My husband has a VERY rare name so I doubt anything will show up for a similar name and, of course, he doesn't have a criminal background so not we don't have to worry about that!

Hi everyone.

Here is my timeline:

- We started ___________ application for permanent residence on March, 2013
- We started processing ________________ application on July, 2013
- Medical results have been received.

Now the visa office is requesting me to send the ARC fee. My questions are:

I am a not visa exempt.

1) Am I required to fill and submit a TRV while my VO has only requested the ARC and its fee thru spousal Sponsorship?
2) Since the Spousal Sponsorship application is at the VO, does the TRV application go together with the ARC application?

Basically I want to know if I am required to do a TRV when the VO has not requested it in any correspondence letters.
