April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi all. My daughter and my citizenship applications were delivered on 2020.04.03, and today 2020.09.10 I received AOR email. I put our applications documents in the same envelope (as instructed by IRCC website) and wrote 2 names on the envelope indicating that there are 2 applications in the envelope. In the AOR email I received today, only my name is mentioned, not my daughter's. Is it normal? My daughter is an adult 23 years old. I thought I would get 2 AOR emails and 2 applications numbers? Any one had the same situation? TIA

IRCC would have sent out an email to your daughter with her file number and AOR. Check with her

Curious about those who get their applications returned, do the docs just show up by mail or is an email notice sent out in advance?

The whole package is returned via normal Canada post mail.

YOu should call IRCC to confirm the delivery of AOR for your daughter application as every application in package gets individual AOR mail

Hope you will get a AOR for daughter by today. Can you pleas share the time line, We got only half amount of applicants in April May compared to other months. It will be really great if you could share the time line keep on updating timely in this forum.

They dont send at the same time. It varies from few minutes to hours to next day too. Just wait till monday.
Also tomorrow try to access ecas for her and if you cant check status then call them on Monday/Tuesday.

Check your spam message, it happened to me but found out it went to spam..you can also track with the UCI number after 24 hours to be sure.

Don’t worry, it is very normal for CIC to skip thru some applications and move on to the next ones as they like.
The applicants from Jan, Feb and March are still receiving their AORs, so stay patient, sooner or later you will get your AOR.
A few people also called IRCC to get an update, and all they say is they’re still processing February 2020 applications.

Mine was delivered on April 6. Still waiting. Not sure if the city we send it from has an impact on processing..

Do you know if the post mail envelope with the returned application would have a "do not forward" stamp on it? Thanks!

One guy from Facebook group, April 08th applicant, got his AOR today. Our long wait may get over soon!
