Thats awesome!!!!
NdVO is way too slow :(
Good Luck. From what I observed is once applicant gets BGC started in NVDO the DM is fairly quick. Here in Ottawa almost no one got the DM although the BGC started 2-3 months ago. I am just speaking for March applicants will be interesting to see broader trends.

Hello,

Has anyone been requested 'Documentary evidence of ongoing communication between you and your sponsor as well as any subsequent travel' from the VO. If so did you send your original communication or translated ones by a Sworn translator?

Hey Oulrish,

Someone in the forum, I can't remember which one, got this doc requested. They took a snapshot of WhatsApp conversation, calls, emails, fb convs, and various other communications that sample real relationship chats in a 10-15 page word doc and sent it.

As far as translation, you can translate.

Hi All,

My spouse finally received medical request today with additional documentation request from the Pretoria VO.

The email says "We do not confirm receipt of correspondence and we do not respond to requests to do so. You must ensure that your response to this letter is sent by reliable means".

Does anyone have any idea what the reliable means (mail, email, webform) would be?

Thank you.
Please use all means to avoid delay. Web form, and mail with tracking ld. so you at least know it reached them.

Hi pnaran14,

Indeed, that person was actually myself. Hehe. I was helping somebody else. I actually did that when I was first applying to Mississauga. Now, together with the medical request they requested for additional ongoing conversations. I was planning to do the same thing again.

They stated " All documents submitted to our office in a language other than French or English must be accompanied by an official translation by a Sworn Translator in English or French." in the email. That's what got me a little bit more concerned. I just don't want to give them a reason to say that the convo has to be translated. Most of our communication are a mixture of English, French and Creole.

If you see the new version of document checklist that got released late April or early May, but check for the latest document checklist, you will see that CIC has asked the principal applicant to translate these conversations with sponsor on their own. So you don't need sworn translator.

The latest checklist states "Reminder: All documents submitted to IRCC must be translated in either English or French". Did you mean that?

Hey Oulrish,

I take it back. Yes you need a sworn translator.
  • For any documents that are not in English or French, you must attach:
    • a certified copy of the original document; and
    • The English or French translation, and
    • An affidavit from the person who completed the translation. See Translation of documents below.
Important notes about using the checklist:

I said what I said because I know people personally who applied for spousal sponsorship did such translations themselves. But now I see this exclusive need. It may be because of some who gamed the system by doing false translations or really bad ones.

Please cover all your bases and don't give any space for them to delay.

Yeah true I understand what you mean. The thing is their instructions are really ambiguous and sometimes is subjective. Unfortunately they aren't specific, they prefer to use terms that cover a broad area and leave it to us to figure out. I had read that before applying originally, and I took the "documents" as birth certificate, and forms and other official documents. Hence why I sent the conversations as per original. I was worried but my package was never returned and Mississauga accepted it.

I'm in quite a conundrum right now.

Yeah.. just get it by a professional. So when you submit, you will be super relieved and not think about it twice.

I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

did you upload your pcc and sch a and medicals all done ? they transfer after all the documents are provided to them.
The medical test was requested, done and passed in mid-July, I also sent the police certificate and Schedule A form before sponsorship approval via web form. In the my approval letter, although it was sent before, they asked again for Sch A but there was no place to upload it in online account.
I followed up and sent them messages several times until today I saw a letter in the account asking for Schedule A ! also, now I can upload it in account.
I want to know that since we have no children and the PA is my wife, should we complete two separate sch A forms or just one for my spouse?
Thank you.
