Well, this is odd. I just received a second batch of notes. I only ordered one. : It looks like someone made a mistake and added me to the queue twice or something. The numbers for the requests on both emails are different and the formatting/spacing in the notes is slightly different, so I think it's safe to assume they issued my notes... twice.


I'll be landing in 2-3 hours. I will let you guys know how it goes.

Please i have an urgent Question guys: After receiving the SA email on the 23rd of june, Can my wife apply for an Open work permit? She's here with me on study permit that would expire next year December, and her file has already been transferred to the VO in ghana....thanks guys

No. The OWP is only for inland applications, not outland applications. She would have to apply to change/extend her status as a visitor before her study permit expires, if her PR does not go through within that time.

I just read about dual intend and an option for applying work permit if ur spouse in Canada already legally. ..talk to an immigration consultant or do more research please

Hello all, my application was received may. 06.2016 as per the email we received(aor 1) . But since then I haven't heard anything from Cic. What worries me is that people on this forum have at least been able to check their status on ecas, via sponsor or applicants info. Me(applicant) and my husband(sponsor) tried to login, but we couldn't..... We have tried daily but It always shows

We started processing on 6th July

Seems CIC fixed the issue we all can access it now plus you can view the sponsor and the applicant status.... through the sponsor ecas!

Anyone else having to apply for a Certificat de sélection du Québec? I can't seem to figure out the waiting time exactly, but I thought it was about a month, or so.
Does anyone know? And how do they even tell you? We never had to submit a mailing address or e-mail to them, so I figured they'd know through CIC. I'm worried, since we've just recently moved.

Oh wow! You know the UCI they emailed us, never had a hyphen... It was just 8 digits. So I just put in a hyphen and it worked! Finally!

When pa side goes in process or when pa gets a line saying we started processing. ...then means u got sa dear

We got decision made today! As far as we know we haven't missed any correspondance, so should be positive. Now if only Canada post weren't striking...might be a while before we get the official word
