Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone, I just received an email from CIC (March 12) and I need your help. As some of you remember, on March 10 I received my RPRF in which email they also asked if my family composition had changed. I paid my RPRF on March 11 and emailed them about the fact that I got married to the person who was my common-law at the time of the application (which I indicated on my application). He is a Canadian citizen.

This is the email I just received from them:

"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. The following is required to complete your application.

STEP 1: STATUS CHANGE (If none of these conditions applies to you, you may proceed to STEP 2)
Has your family composition changed since our last correspondence?
· Have you married or divorced?
· Have you given birth or adopted a child?
· Do you intend to get married or divorced prior to becoming a permanent resident?
· Do you intend to give birth or adopt a child prior to becoming a permanent resident?
· Have you changed your contact information: e-mail address/mailing address/telephone number?

If any of these conditions apply, you must inform CPC-O immediately:
CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca (I already did this on March 11; I attached a copy of our marriage certificate and his Canadian passport to the email)

You will be asked to submit evidence such as a copy of the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption certificate or a letter advising when and where the marriage, divorce, birth or adoption is expected to take place. Any new spouse and/or children must be added to your application and be found admissible to Canada before your case is finalized. Failure to declare additional dependants such as a spouse or children before you become a permanent resident could result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa. Once your file is closed, you would be required to submit a new application and pay new processing fees. Any new application would be assessed under the Act and Regulations in force at the time of its submission.

STEP 2: PASSPORT(S) REQUEST

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank visa page in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be blank visa pages for them as well.
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must obtain an ordinary passport.

If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.

STEP 3: SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS If you and your dependants reside in Canada
How to Send your Documents to the Case Processing Center – Ottawa (CPC-O)
Please note that CPC-Ottawa does not send out passports outside of North America.

Submit all documents by MAIL in a single package. Quote your application number on your correspondence and send the package to one of the following addresses:

Canada Post:
CPC – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

Courier:
CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON K1A 1L1

If you have a mailing address in Canada: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase two (2) PREPAID Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (National), letter-sized (318 x 241 mm), at any Canada Post retail outlet. CPC-Ottawa accepts no responsibility for any passport lost in the mail.

- Complete the mailing label on one envelope showing your mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.
- Keep a tracking number sticker from each envelope.
- Fold and enclose the self-addressed envelope in the other envelope along with your passport(s) and a copy of this request letter.

If you have a mailing address in the United States: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase a pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. Follow the link to purchase your shipping label:
http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp
If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label, or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail.

The requested information/documents must be received in our office within 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

Final Note
The issuance of your visa(s) cannot be delayed so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as soon as possible. An expiration date (dd/mm/yy) will be indicated on your visa and/or on your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR – IMM 5688), and you must obtain permanent residence on or before that date. The visas and CoPR cannot be extended. If you are not prepared to live permanently in Canada immediately after your permanent residence is granted, please consult the CIC website regarding your obligations to retain your status in Canada.

Sincerely,"

So, what do I do now? Do I just go ahead and send my passport since I've already notified them on March 11 about my marriage, or do I wait to see if they reply to my email in which I told them I got married?

Also, do I send my work permit too?

So excited, but a bit confused! I'd appreciate any help/advice/suggestion you could give.

Thanks!

Hi Sjulian/Maxmoore/cabalen,

I have few questions/Concerns please suggest your ideas..

I got a job offer from USA employer and asking me join within 2-3 weeks.(I have h1 also).
But as my ECAS changed to inprocess on march 4th also candidates with the same time line as me getting PPRs, I am hoping that I may
get PPR soon. Is it advisable to change my address to USA address and move to USA in 2-3 weeks?
Is it going to impact my PR?

Also I am taking risk by not applying for BOWP , and want to wait till march 20 th ,my current WP expires on Apr 11.
I am planning to submit my application around 5 or 6 April, wait and watch till then.
Is this strategy can have any implications?

Final question : on march 5th CIC requested my sons valid passport copy as his PP expired.I have send it immediately.
How fast CIC generally look into my email? , in the email CIC mentioned to send the documents within 15 days.

Appreciate your inputs, thanks in advance.

Done medicals in DEC 1st and paid RPRF upfront.. Waiting for PPR from almost 4 months now CIC requested to submit PCC and Schedule A Form again.
I have applied PCC submitted the same immediately after I received AOR. So technically it should be valid as I have received PCC from Passport office in June and sent immediately. Dont know why they are asking again.. anyways I have applied again for PCC.

I dont know if this is a good sign or not.. I am worried more now ??? ???

Hi I do not think you need for each state in India. You just need to submit Police certificate from India. But just in case you can ask them.

Buddy,

Don't panic. Once you will get new PCC then directly send them and scan that PCC too.

By the way, what was your first PCC date?

Hello guys,

I got PPR last night. but i have a question regarding email it says

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete.

CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca

but i have informed them about marriage. they did ask me to send marriage certificate. do i need to inform them again?

I think you can send already your passport. You already submitted the requirements and paid the RPRF. I don't think there are any issues with your spouse, i.e., Canadian Citizen, that would hinder your approval.

If you have informed them already and submitted the required docs then you are good. No need to resend them anything, unless you have other changes after.

This is really very disturbing news.. that CIC has asked for a second PCC from one of the members as quoted above.

Does anyone have any idea, IF this is a normal practise that CIC will ask for an updated PCC?
My timeline is pretty similar. I applied in April 2014 and sent my PCC along with my application. Now i guess that PCC was done sometime in march 2014. so in all probability my PCC will expire sometime in this month.
Could they ask for an updated PCC from me well. :( :(

if anyone has any idea..please respond. !!!

My opinion, I don't think the change of address would matter at this point in the process.

A month before the expiry of your WP to get BOWP is a good strategy. You will have implied status once your WP expired and don't have the BOWP yet.

Your email is a priority email which they requested docs. They look into that fairly quick. You can follow up with after 2 weeks.
