I have another problem with address. I applied within Canada and left the country. But I left the address in Canada as my friends will be responsible for taking any mail. Now I am waiting for my passport request,
I was wondering if they ask my passport should I send my passport to Canada ?
OR I should tell them that I am in Europe ? In that case what they will do - transfer my file to the embassy ?
I might also travel to Canada for 2 months as a visitor , and wait for my passport request there .

Can anyone just help me and explain if I am outside what will happened ?

Do the transfer the file or it is just stamping issue ?

Today, I have submitted new passport renewal application at BLS-India office in Toronto. I told them that CIC need new passport in 30 days and make this request urgent.

I have also dropped a mail to CIC that I have applied for new passport and it will take 4 to 6 weeks.

Let's see.

You can show the email from CIC to indian consulate and expediate the passport renewal process.
Try to visit indian consulate office if you are in toronto or vancouver.
Let us know what happened, I wish for speedy renewal ...

I got the same email what you received , asking for my Son's valid passport , his was expired last year , I have a new one for him.

These CIC guys have gone into another hibernation.

Yes, they are busy with EE since they promise to complete their applications in 6 months.

I ordered for GCMC notes in Dec 2014 and as per my GCMC notes they were working on my application on Nov 24th 2014 and my 2nd GCMC ordered in Jan 2015 was the same...no change at all...its more than 3 months and there is no mention of Medical received or in progress status in my ECAS.

I have dropped an email to CIC requesting them to change my mailing address to home address as I cannot update only the mailing address through update address tool. I have also requested them that all my email communication should go to my personal email id.
