Wow Congratulations I have same NOC as yours and applied on April 20th. I got my MR on Dec 4! You are very lucky, hope you have a smooth landing

I seriously don't know how things at CIC works. It has been over 2 months since ECAS changed to "IN PROCESS" but to this day, no MR.

"We started processing your application on October 04, 2012."

Anyone in similar situation?

I am in the same situation. My ECAS shows that "We started processing your application on October 1st" but so far I didn't receive any medical request.

I emailed them a week ago and still didn't receive an answer.

Hi Group,

Have a small issue in my case....

I have received the PPR request on 28th November 2012. CPP - Ottawa has informed me to submit my passport to Canadian Embassy in Detroit, However I have mentioned New Delhi, India to be my Visa Issuance office in my application. I have sent 2 emails to CPP- Ottawa requesting them to change my visa office to India, No response from them yet... Not sure what to do here...

Please give me some suggestions.

Guys, I just got my PPR today! Whoohoo!


Im just reading over the instructions and Im slightly confused how I can do this part. Guys, please just confirm if my understanding is correct.

Im not from a Visa exempt country so I will need to send my original passports to Detroit.
Here I can use courier/canada xpresspost and send it off safely.
I havent paid my RPRF so Im going to attach a moneyorder/cheque of 490 CND
2 photos, document with my height/eye color

Until here Im pretty sure but in regards of CIC sending it back:
Can I attach a pre-paid return envelope from xpresspost?
According to this website

It says if you are residing in canada
"Canada Post Xpresspost: If you prefer Canada Post Xpresspost, please enclose with your application a PRE-PAID Xpresspost envelope. Complete the mailing label on the return envelope showing the Windsor Post Office Box address in the "FROM" section of the mailing label (Canadian Consulate General/IMM, 401 Ouellette Avenue, P.O. Box 940 Station “A”, Windsor, ON N9A 6P2 CANADA). Make a note of the tracking number for each envelope. Please note: If you choose to select this service, your package will be sent from our P.O.Box in Windsor and will not originate in the USA."


Ok, Im sending my passport to Detroit, but in order to have it sent back by xpresspost, I should put in the Windsor Address? Even thought I sent it to Detroit? Am I getting this right?

First, congratulations!

Yes, the instructions are correct. That is their return address Post Office box. That Post Office is right outside the tunnel entrance in Windsor, and it the closest place to mail from within Canada that is near the Detroit Consulate.
