i have got a doubt......as a proof of funds do i haveto show me and my wife joint account or do i can show money from my wife's single account also....i m principal applicant and wife is secondary applicanta ........
other thing is that at time of submitting all documents to vo newdelhi,do we have to send some kind of draft or not.........

Hi Sukhi,

You can show your account, your wife account and both of yours joint account all is accepted by CHC, CHC accept the account for all persons including in the application. So as your wife is included in your application you can show her sole account and it will be counted towards the proof of funds. No you dont need to send any draft but when you will receive a medical request they will ask you pay fees for the Permanent Residence, some applicants pay it at the time of submitting full docs but its not necessary so you can pay it later.

What is the timeline to obtain a PR for applicants who apply post 26th June? It will definetely be shorter because the 120 day period is no more valid but apart from that, any hint on the actual processing time?

Hi,

I have not heard anything about that but i think it will be between 6 -12 months same as before. But it cant be faster then this because at the moment CHC have old applications as well to process, maybe after 1 year or so if rules remains the same it become more faster as there will be less application for the visa offices to do.

Hi Tukku,

Ask some who has done application from States as i am not in states i have no idea about it. Sorry cant help on this one. Maybe ask in the Buffalo applicants thread they will definetly know about it.

I'm guessing maybe the 21 April 2010 although I'm scared it was lost in the post. It's reassuring to see others around this date still haven't heard though so fingers crossed. Although my category is still there it would be such a pain to reapply :-( Do you think I should send a letter or just wait??
