applying PR card after landing

Hello all,

we did landing at Canada-US border last week. Is it necessary to apply PR card from our side again. As far as i remember the immi officer said that they will send us the application on our behalf to CIC and it will take 30 - 90 days to get the PR card.

Please confirm if we dont have to apply card.

Memory loss due to PR excitement.

also is there a way to check the sttaus of the PR card processing online instead of calling CIC

I am pretty sure you don't have to apply the PR CARD seperately by yourself.. when I did my landing the officer just told me the card will be mailed to me in 6-8 weeks..

ps.. I have a question.. have you checked your online status...after landing it should be changed from Decision made to Complete.. how long does it take to update the status?

Is it possible to ask for the result of the Medical Examination?
Because Me and my friend went at the same time in Regina to have our Medical Examination and she receive her next step two weeks ago...
I am so uncomfortable to this situation...

i think you can ask doctor's office...but usually if there is a problem in one of their examination..they usually ask you to re-do that test..to confirm...what you can do is request GCMS notes..it will tell you all the activity on your file..it will also tell you if you have passed ur medical or if there are any concerns...this is the link for applying for GCMS notes..it takes 30 days to get those after you apply for it...http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

hi just to let you know my landing was done on sept 21st and our PR cards were dispatched on 15th November
