I am interested in obtaining a visitor visa for Canada while holding a student visa in Ontario. My student visa is set to expire in December 2023, and I am planning to travel to India during the Christmas break, intending to return to Canada in January 2024. Given that my study permit will expire at the end of December, and taking into account the current processing time for work permits (which is 3-4 months) and an estimated one-month processing time for the TRV, I would have to wait for approximately 4-5 months to obtain a stamp on my passport. Therefore, I would like to inquire if it is possible to apply for a visitor visa now while I am in Canada.
