apply for PR card after landing

I have already completed my landing procedure but did not get a PR card because I returned to US the next day. How can I apply for PR card from US? What forms do I need to fill in? Do I have to go personally to collect my PR card or would they mail the PR card to my friend's canadian address? Please advise. Thanks.

they will mail the PR card to your friend's canadian address if this is the address you provided to the vo at your landing. if you need to return canada, have your friend mail/courier the card to you in the states.

In case your Canadian residential address was not with you at the Time of landing on POE, you can obtain a form from website fill it with your residential address and fax to 1-902-564-7317, or contact the PR Card Call Center at 1-888-242-2100.

Can I update my canadian address on ECas online and then call them requesting them to mail the PR card at that address?

If I update my eCas from US will they come to know that I updated this from out of Canada?

The only way they can find out is through your ip address and since you are not dealing with an IT company, it should not be a bother.
You will be fine updating from anywhere.

Thanks so if I update my friend's address on eCAS will the IO send the PR card to my friend's canadian address. PMM, please advise
