So is my file in process or still in the queue??? whats the selection process???

There are 3 phases in the application process.

The first is the Eligibility by the CIO in Sydney.

The second is Selection at the VO. The VO will have a second look at all the points you received and verify authenticity of documents etc.

The third is Admissibility. (Security, Medical etc).

After this stage you get your visa.

You are placed in process once selection procedures have commenced so you may not be in process yet. If you get your GCMS notes it will show you the date your selection process should have been concluded and the date of assignment to an officer. My date of assignment was early last month and I'm still RBVO so don't let it bother you.

hello every one ,,, i applied in 18th feb 2011 and got pr on 29th march 2011 ,,my visa office is london and my ecas status is RBVO FROM 14th march 2011 no update after that,,i have an Indian nationality CURRENTLY risiding in uk i have my residence permit of uk till feb 2012 and now i m worried wt will happen with my File,, is there any chance i get medical before i go from here OR WT WILL HAPPEN with my file after i go from here/?? will they change the visa office???? or wt gonna happen ??????/

Thanks a lot for the help...it is just the waiting and not knowing where ur appl stands can sometimes get fustrating...however the onlything one can do is patiently wait and hope for the best.

Just a kind note to the Buffalo friends:
I know it is hard to try and stay positive everytime someone is posting some good news and you still haven't heard a word from Buffalo...
I know it's eating your heart out, believe me, I've been there too!!!
For me it also has been a long, long wait because of the AEO approval+visa procedure and have been waiting for almost 2 years now.
But I'm sure, your time will come to celebrate and if so I hopefully will be the first one to congratulate you!!!
Try to stay positive, even when it's hard, but you WILL get that Visa....one way or the other!
For now, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you guys/girls and hope you all will receive some good news soon! :-*

I have the same problem...mine ends in March...what I gather from asking people in the forum is to inform the VO of the change of address....its is unlikely they will tranfer ur file to maintain process integrity...hope it helps solve ur problem.

You have received your Acknowledgement of Receipt from your VO (AOR)
Now all you have to do is to wait for your medicals, passports requests from them.

Congratulations...

It is unusual to see a Feb 11 applicant to go RBVO after 9months (Hmmmmm????).

Canadestin...any thoughts? Would he get MR/RPRF/other doc request in couple of weeks or will he have to wait the standard 6m after the AOR receipt? He seems to be quite out of line.....never observed this for other post Feb candidates.

NDVO may send standard letter (6months)....but i think they will start his/her process within a month n send MR if everythng is OK
