Application Status- In Progress since last 6 years & no revert from file worker

Hi,

Can anyone please advise the standard timeframe for application approval for Canadian PR- under highly skilled migrant category. I submitted my application in Feb 2005 and was advised to submit my originals to high commission in new delhi in feb 2009. since then, there is no contact or revert from my file worker and/ or high commission. the online status shows - file in progress. I am currently working abroad and in a fix as there is no response despite repeated inquiries with case worker.

I applied for PR on may 09 2010... i dont knw when i will receive my medical.... now the online status is showing " Received_by Visa Office" ... when wil it be done completely
