Congrats Haybu 12. I hope u are celebrating ppr........ :D

By the did they ask any letter from employer or any other formalities............

All senior members in this forum are mostly done with ppr........well see how every thing goes on!
Thanks sree12345, I was exhilarated when I got the email ;D

No, they just ask for passport and the printout of the PPR request email from Seattle...that is just the requirements.

Hope you get yours sooner, too

Hi haybu12,

I got the email from Seattle today too! Congrat!

I have a question, they said if you are in Canada, send the passport with an envelope and they will mail by regular mail. Do we need to write down our Canadian address on the envelope which they will use to send back our passport?

Thanks.

@ ch2012,

I answer for haybu if is okay .... ::)
In the mail I got from Seattle ....

IF YOUR MAILING ADDRESS IS IN CANADA:

Please include a plain 9" x 12" self-addressed envelope. No postage is necessary.

The Consulate will send all mail to addresses in Canada via regular mail (U.S. Postal Service First Class Mail) only.
We will not use registered mail, certified mail, Canadian postage coupons or Canadian Xpresspost envelopes.
The Consulate is not responsible for any items lost in the mail
.

@haybu12,

All very different in one way and the other quite different.
From me they wanted to job offer or reference letters from employers.

Requested documents for me wars ....

YOU MUST SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING WITH YOUR PASSPORT:

1 Updated letter of reference from the employer that nominated you confirming your current and ongoing employment.
Please note: If you are no longer employed by the employer that nominated you, then you must notify this office prior to submitting your passport(s);
2 Payment for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (see attached) for yourself;
3 Two (2) passport size, colour photos per person on a white background. You will find the photograph specifications at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445ETOC.asp#appendixB.

Congrats haybu12!!! From my GCMS notes, criminal check only takes 2 days, while security check takes much longer. My security check was due on Jul 20, but still, I didn't hear anything yet :( Maybe they are doing a more complicated background checking on me :(

Anyways, congrats again!!!

Thank you, clare2012

Which part on your GCMS notes does it say that your criminal check only took 2 days?

Under "Notes", it says my case was handed to someone for crim check on May 18 (Ecas shows "In process" on that day too), and under "Criminality" it says it's completed on May 21.

Hi frnds,

I am constant visitor on this blog and appreciate the way it is helping all of us. I am aware about Ecas but GCMS is new terms for me. My VO is ND and at present under Ecas my application status is Application Received.

Kindly advise how I can access GCMS? Is it applicable to a specific category.

Simply put, there is a request for access to your personal data or immigration application.
You can make that request when the regular processing time is exceeded.

I see in your profile that you've now got your AOR.
You still have much time before this is an issue for you.. ;)
But more on topic ...GCMS ... you can find here in the forum.

Is it applicable to a specific category.
No it is not.
There is a right of information about your case and personal data

Thanks WNIBC! I sent it out the day before yesterday. But I really worry about their using regular mail to send back passport, a such important document.

NY consulate replied today (one month delayed... I thought they'll never reply my last email):
Your file is not yet complete. Mandatory checks are being conducted. We under your concerns, however it is not yet ready for finalization. Once completed we will notify you.

Contacted MP a week ago and got a response today.

He said my file was transferred to Ottawa on July 7, 2012.

And background checks were initiated by Buffalo before transfer.

The good thing is I know where my file is and the bad thing is they haven't started processing it yet.

I'm sure they will someday. :)

I can understand you.
Is really a strange feeling to send something so important. :eek:

I'm lucky in this case .... I only need to send copies of the passport.
This is good.

Today I got the COPR / Passport back :D
It was only 2 days in Seattle
This weekend I'll make the landing
