Applicants with files sent to Program Support Unit of CIC

Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody here has had any experience or knows anyone that had experience dealing with Program Support Unit of CIC. From What I was made to understand its a department in CIC that handles files that are complex in nature and once a file gets transfered there it can take up to 2 years for one to hear from them. I am not sure how true it is with the time it takes unit to process files that are transfered there, but your ideas and experiences, if not from you but from friends might help me form a time frame.

Hi can you explain in briefly how you got to know that your file case is been sent to program support unit
Did you got it on your gcms notes or by any other source

Hi there, there was a note on my GCMS notes that says "file transfered to PS (Program Transfer). I called CIC to confirm what I saw and they said yes but no specific reason was given as to why the file was sent there. Although the call center agent said files that are sent there are files that require additional scrutiny/investigation.
