Anyone has recently applied for a post-graduate work permit?

I'm trying to fill the IMM5710E form (2013-01 version), but it won't allow me to validate it if I do not fill in the "details of my prospective employer". As far as I understand, PGWP is an open work permit and does not require an employer. I tried to fill "n/a" but some fields do not apply (i.e., those with pull-down options like States/Cities/Dates...). Any suggestion?

I have seen the form too... Try to change the check marks on the first question... I remember it won't work too.. so print it and fill it by hand and scan !!! form is used for extension purposes (seems like)... they forgot to think about various types of applicants.. (as always) lol

I called up the Registrar's office asking about fee exemption for the dependent, they say the dependent's name has to be there on the email.

PCC not included with the application. They were expiring in Feb 2013, so I sent them in without any request from CIC on Jan 28th 2013. I hope they will consider those.

Why don't you try an online application? It's much easier as they don't ask about the detail of your prospective empoyer.

Some universities change the international to domestic tuition fees once they are learned that the positive determination has been given to an applicant

Hi, they will probably agree on fee exemption for the dependent.

I brought the PER email,the total application fees paid and the marriage certificate, arguing that I applied on behalf of both of us.

Then staff at Registrar's office was so kind to permit the fee exemption.

But there is no guarantee that they will agree on this issue.

It is worth trying.

They have discussed this issue on previous threads.

Schools differ on the policy. Some require the PR , while others only ask for PER emails.

If I fill it by hand, then I won't get that barcode requested (which is only available if you fill it electronically and validate the form)...Plus if I fill/sign/scan, I can't upload the form through MyCIC because it'll be identified as "not in an acceptable format"...

This is so stupid...and they don't even have a phone number to call in (or maybe I didn't find it...Anyone knows?) if we have problems filling the form...It's not as self-explanatory as it suggested in their guideline...Anyways, I plan to go to the international centre in my univ tomorrow to see if they've heard the same issue before. Meanwhile I guess I'll wait a bit to see if they're going to update the form. It's a very new version (Jan 2013) so maybe they haven't realized the bug in it...

I'm using the online application. But you still have to fill the IMM5710E form and upload it. They updated their system recently. Did you use it before? It might be much easier before they changed their website...I remember my boyfriend had it done in 15 min...But I'm stuck here for two days now...

Hi everybody.
I have sent my application on PhD stream on December 2011. On January 4th I was asked for Bank Statement.
From ECAS, I found a new line of " We started processing your application". My Ecas is not accessible any more.
Do you guys have any idea what it means ? Any idea would be appreciated.

I can't see client application status neither. I have always been able to se it, including last week, but today doesnt work. I'm wondering if it is because I just got medical request and they updating?
Anyone knows what is going on?

You should be hearing from them in a month or two.
